Security & Data Handling

Last updated June 8, 2026

Lawsuit papers can contain addresses, account references, debt amounts, court case numbers, and financial allegations. This page explains how Answered handles that information in plain English.

Private storage

Uploaded papers, extracted case facts, generated documents, and case workspaces are stored in private application storage tied to your account or anonymous session. They are not published on public pages and are not included in Answered sitemaps.

Answer endpoints and app routes are kept out of public indexing. JSON answer endpoints carry noindex headers, and user case routes require authenticated access.

Encrypted in transit

Answered is served over HTTPS. Browser uploads, checkout redirects, account recovery, and app API requests are transmitted over encrypted connections.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe checkout. Answered does not store full card numbers.

Service providers

Answered uses limited providers to operate the product: Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage; Stripe for checkout and payment status; email providers for account recovery and receipts; Sentry for error monitoring; PostHog for product analytics; and AI/document-processing providers when you ask Answered to scan uploaded papers.

Providers process data so Answered can run the service. Answered does not sell lawsuit papers, case details, or generated documents.

Retention and deletion

Case data is kept so you can return to your workspace, regenerate documents, review filing steps, and recover purchases. You can delete a case from the app. Recently deleted cases can be restored for a limited period before permanent removal workflows apply.

You can contact support@ellasid.com to request access, correction, deletion, or export of information associated with your account, subject to fraud prevention, payment, security, legal, and operational retention needs.

Support access

Support access is limited to helping with account recovery, checkout issues, upload problems, bug reports, and product reliability. Support does not provide legal advice and does not become your lawyer.

Do not send Social Security numbers, full bank account numbers, or unnecessary medical details. If your court papers contain extra-sensitive information, redact what is not needed before uploading when you can do so without making the legal papers unreadable.

Your controls

You stay in control of what to enter, upload, generate, download, file, serve, delete, or ask support to review for technical help.

Before filing anything, verify names, addresses, case number, deadlines, court track, signatures, service instructions, and filing requirements against your court papers and clerk instructions.
